How We Build

The Real Timeline, Phase by Phase.

Once your design and contract are done, we’re in the water in about eight weeks. Here’s exactly what happens in each phase.

Phase One

Design and Contract

This is the planning that makes the build fast. Nothing gets dug until the design is locked, the budget is real, and the permits are moving.

What I need from you

Time for a walkthrough of your yard, honest answers about how your family will use the pool, and a budget range so the design fits what you actually want to spend.

  1. The Conversation

Coy walks your lot in person — what your family wants the space to do, what the ground looks like, what range makes sense for the project.

  2. Design on Paper

A full layout — shape, depth zones, features, decking material. You see exactly what you're getting before anything moves.

  3. Budget & Permits

A comprehensive quote and permit preparation for Seguin and Guadalupe County, including a look at HOA requirements where they apply.

Phase Two

Build: About Eight Weeks
from Design Lock.

Once the design is locked and permits are in hand, the build runs as one continuous sequence — I plan the whole thing before the first shovel touches your yard.

What I need from you

Access to the property for each stage, quick decisions on tile and decking selections before we reach that step, and someone reachable if a call comes up mid-build.

  1. Excavation

The dig starts once the design is locked and permits are in hand.

  2. Steel

Rebar tied by hand into the exact shape of your pool.

  3. Plumbing and Electrical

Lines roughed in before the shell goes on — the equipment pad, drains, and any water features get routed now.

  4. Gunite

Concrete sprayed over the steel in one continuous, monolithic pour.

  5. Tile and Coping

Tile and coping set by hand along the waterline and edge.

  6. Decking

Concrete, flagstone, stamped concrete, or travertine — poured and set around the shell.

  7. Equipment

Pump, filter, and heater (if chosen) installed and plumbed in.

  8. Plaster

The interior finish goes on last, over the cured shell.

  9. Fill and Hand-Over

Fill, chemical startup, and a full walkthrough of every system with you.
